Anchor Center is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher to join our collaborative, transdisciplinary team serving preschool-aged children with visual impairments and additional disabilities.
This role provides classroom leadership, develops individualized learning experiences, partners with families, and works closely with Teachers of the Visually Impaired, therapists, and classroom assistants to support each child’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead developmentally appropriate preschool instruction for children with diverse learning needs.
Create and maintain an engaging, inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized educational plans.
Conduct ongoing assessments and complete progress reports.
Participate in IFSP, IEP, and transition meetings as appropriate.
Establish consistent classroom routines, expectations, and behavior supports.
Contribute to monthly themes, lesson planning, and program development.
Compensation:
$30–$45 per hour, depending on education and experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE).
Early Childhood Teacher Qualified, or willing to obtain qualification.
Minimum of two years of experience working with children from birth to age five.
Experience supporting children with disabilities; experience with visual impairments is preferred.
Strong collaboration, communication, and flexibility in a team-based environment.
Schedule Options
Part-Time: Preschool program only. Benefits are not included.
Full-Time: Opportunity to add infant and toddler programming on Mondays and Fridays, with benefits eligibility.

The Anchor Center for Blind Children has a full-time or part-time position for a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI) in our Preschool Program. Come join our incredible interdisciplinary team and mission. A current Colorado TSVI license required and a background in Early Intervention preferred. Working as a member of Anchor Center’s TSVI team, you will work to meet the vision needs of children ages birth-3 in our center-based programs and Early Intervention Program in their home environment or online/virtually, as a representative of Anchor Center.
We are open to a part-time, hourly position with hours that will vary, up to 24 hours/week; OR a full-time, salaried position, working 4-5 days/week. Compensation for part-time is $25-40/hour, and full-time is $40-$60k per year, dependent upon education and experience.
