Marketing and Communications Manager

Anchor Center for Blind Children is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to strategically promote and enhance the visibility of our extraordinary programs and services through social marketing, website management, advertising and collateral materials creation. Located in a state-of-the art educational facility, Anchor Center is Colorado’s only nonprofit educational and therapy center specializing in serving infants and young children who are visually impaired.

If you are:

  • Passionate about strategic marketing and communications planning, with a desire to see direct outcomes,
  • Experienced in creating and implementing full-fledged campaigns, from start-to-finish, including analytics and ROI reporting,

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, professional position. Candidates must possess at least two years of marketing/communications experience. Nonprofit industry experience preferred. Anchor Center for Blind Children is seeking a Marketing Intern. The Marketing Internship will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to gain varied experience in the field of nonprofit marketing and communications in a fast-paced environment with a team of seasoned nonprofit professionals. Reporting directly to the Communications Manager, the Marketing Intern will assist with Anchor Center’s expanded emphasis on multimedia packages and collateral creation, including video production, social media, graphic design, blog content, and email communications. The Marketing Intern will also help with editing, creative content generation, media relations, and SEO activities, while building marketable skills and portfolio of communications projects.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess strong creativity, demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills, and be working towards a degree (junior level and up) or hold a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a related field (e.g. English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising or Public Administration). Experience working or volunteering at a nonprofit organization preferred, but not required.

This is a unpaid internship with flexible hours ranging between 8-16+ hours per week with a minimum of 3 months commitment. Schedule will be determined by intern and reporting internship supervisor. Anchor Center supports college credit internship programs and will reasonably work to accommodate college program requirements.

Graphic Design Internship

Anchor Center for Blind Children is seeking a motivated Graphic Design Intern with interests in photography, videography, graphic design, communications and social media. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or undergraduate looking to get hands on experience. Anchor Center’s Graphic Design Internship provides an enriching work experience with a leading nonprofit in the Denver community, building your resume and design portfolio while learning from seasoned nonprofit professionals with strong backgrounds in design and marketing.

Reporting directly to the Communications Manager, the Graphic Design Intern position applies and implements skills in creative design for Anchor Center; editing and designing digital files for print and online modalities.

To qualify for this position, candidates must have graphic design experience and be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Web, photography, videography and multimedia skills are a plus. Additionally, candidates must possess strong creativity, demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills, and be working towards a degree (junior level and up) or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Design or a related field. Experience working or volunteering at a nonprofit or human services organization preferred, but not required
