Join us for Anchor Center Day at Wings Over The Rockies Air and Space Museum
WHAT: Wings Over The Rockies has created a custom multisensory experience especially for Anchor Center students and families! You will touch airplanes, explore the inside of the cockpit, engage in story time, and have the chance to build wooden airplanes.
WHO: We are partnering with No Barriers again, the organization founded by Eric Weihenmayer — the first blind climber to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest. The experience will be facilitated as a service project by No Barriers’ participants who are all veterans who have served our country. Anchor Center staff will be onsite to have fun with your family also!
WHEN: Friday, September 29th between 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM, followed by a free picnic lunch at Lowry Sports Complex Park across the street.
WHERE: Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum at 7711 East Academy Boulevard Denver, CO 80230-6929
AGES: All! Infants, toddlers, preschoolers, Anchor graduates, and their families and siblings are welcome!
COST: The cost is free for children under 3 years old, $3 for children over 3 years old, and $5 for adults. Payment will be collected at the event.
REGISTER: Space is limited for this custom event! Please register via the form below by Wednesday, September 27th.
