WHAT: Anchor Day Watch is a respite program hosted by Anchor Center in partnership with the Denver School of Nursing and our additional nursing partners. Anchor Center students and siblings participate in pre-planned activities and events ranging from art to motor activities. Anchor Center staff and trained volunteers supervise children to ensure each child is provided with the best care and has an enjoyable time while family members are away.
WHO: Anchor Center families AND alumni, ages 6 weeks to 11 years old
DETAILS: Snacks will be provided but parents may bring food and drinks for allergy or individual needs. Please also pack sunscreen, pajamas, a change of clothes, diaper bags, etc. as needed to ensure quality care. All participants must have completed release forms signed and on file upon arrival. Children may be dropped off starting at 10:00 a.m. and picked up anytime prior to but no later than 2:00 p.m. Anchor Center staff and volunteers will be present to greet families for any special instructions or concerns when families arrive for the respite event. This school break respite event will be provided by Anchor Center staff and trained volunteers only. There will not be any nursing students available for this event. Skilled nursing care will not be provided, please plan accordingly for your child if private nursing is needed during their time in respite.
REGISTRATION: Families must pre-register either online or by completing the Anchor Day Watch Registration form. Please register early!
