WHAT: Anchor Day Watch is a respite program hosted by Anchor Center in partnership with the Denver School of Nursing and our additional nursing partners. Anchor Center students and siblings participate in pre-planned activities and events ranging from art to motor activities. Trained nursing students and Anchor Center staff supervise children to ensure each child is provided with the best care and has an enjoyable time while family members are away.
WHO: Anchor Center families AND alumni, ages 6 weeks to 11 years old
DETAILS: Snacks will be provided but parents may bring food and drinks for allergy or individual needs. Please also pack lunch, sunscreen, a change of clothes, diaper bags, etc. as needed to ensure quality care. All participants must have completed release forms signed and on file upon arrival. Children may be dropped off starting at 10:00 a.m. and picked up anytime prior to but no later than 2:00 p.m. Nurses will be present to greet families for any special instructions or medication concerns when families arrive for the event.
REGISTRATION: Families must register online and complete the Anchor Respite Care Application form if this is the first time attending a respite care event. The fee for one school break respite day is $30 for your children to attend. There is a $10 discount if you sign up for all 3 days ($80 total). There is an additional $5 for each additional sibling after 3 children for the 3 day camp.
Space is limited. Please register early!
Due to COVID-19, we are limited to how many children can be registered for an event. If Anchor does not receive enough registrations by noon Wednesday prior to the scheduled event, a cancellation of the respite event will occur. Anchor will contact registered parties on Wednesday afternoon prior to the respite event if a cancellation must occur.
