Meet Sam Boik

Dancing with Anchors 2019 Contestant

About Sam

Fox31 KDVR

Sam is not only the traffic anchor on Fox31 Morning News on Fox31 KDVR, she’s also the in-game host for the Denver Outlaws, the emcee for “Fuel Up To Play 60” assemblies at middle schools throughout Colorado and the host for various charitable fundraisers.  If you’re a Denver Bronco’s fan, you may recall seeing Sam on the sidelines of Mile High Stadium as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader.  She traveled the world during a seven-year career as a Professional Ballerina with Carolina Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet.  Sam’s participation in the “Dancing with the Anchors 2019” fundraiser allows her to give to others while using her incredible dance skills.

Sam's Dancing Partner

Patrick McKenna

Patrick started at Arthur Murray Denver in 2004. He and his whole family were part of our student body for 4 years until they moved away. Patrick’s passion for dance even compelled him to go to college for a ballroom dance degree. The passion continued on as a student and eventually as an Arthur Murray instructor on the west coast. He returned to his Colorado roots in 2014 and now teaches in both Arthur Murray Denver and Arthur Murray Castle Rock. He has competed as an amateur and as a professional. His teaching skills, especially to newer students, have been recognized and documented to be of the highest caliber in the entire Arthur Murray world.

How does it work?

VOTING WITH YOUR DOLLARS BEFORE AND AT THE EVENT WILL DETERMINE THE WINNING TEAM – i.e. the team that raises the most money for Anchor Center, wins the competition, and the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy! Voting dollars are a charitable, tax-deductable donation benefiting the children and families of Anchor Center…and a fun way to support your favorite dance team.

IMPORTANT: Your contribution to Anchor Center for Blind Children qualifies for a 50% Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit on your CO state taxes. Example: give a $50 gift, get $25 back!

Sam and Patrick have my vote!
