Meet Mikayla

Anchor Center Class of 2018

Words of a Father

"Like a light guiding us, there was this beacon called Anchor Center."

Mikayla’s father, Bryan, reflects on his family’s Anchor Center journey as Mikayla prepared to graduate from preschool. He shares their inspirational story of hope, joy and a future full of possibilities.

Scroll down to see a video clip of Bryan and Mikayla and to see their journey in photographs. Be prepared to be moved by the amount of love this father has for his daughter.

Mikayla's dad, Bryan, on why he donates his time to Anchor Center: “I may not have much to give, but l give what I can,” says Bryan, who volunteers his time to Anchor Center for Blind Children as part of our small but mighty building maintenance team.

“Whenever things start to feel shadowed in a negative light, I think of Anchor Center; I think of odd jobs I’ve done there and I honestly feel appreciated. Being a part of Anchor Center gives me strength, hope, and a sense of love.” (read more below...)

Honor Mikayla and Bryan with a gift of support for future generations.

Mikayla and Bryan are just two of the 400 children and family members that are served by Anchor Center each year. Your donation means the world to each and every one of them. Thank you.
