We are thrilled to share that the first annual Biking For Blindness Charity Ride event, held on August 28th, was a huge success! Benefitting Anchor Center for Blind Children and hosted by two Anchor families in honor of their children, Ryder and Tivoli, this charity ride and giving campaign raised exactly $30,000 for Anchor Center’s programs via donations, registrations and the silent auction!
Over 60 riders participated in the 30 & 60 mile route event, which was held in Longmont, CO and led by Kourtney and Tom Danielson, parents to Ryder and owners of Cinch Cycling. Afterwards, participants enjoyed grabbing a cold beverage at Primitive Beer and refueled at the The Savage Beet food truck. What an awesome way to spend a Sunday! Along with the Danielsons, we extend our gratitude to Beth and Chad Barentsen, parents to Tivoli, for all their work organizing and securing support for this event.
We are so grateful to our additional sponsors and for the amazing turnout of cyclists. We are very fortunate to have such amazing parents and families who are always looking to give back to Anchor Center.
