Dancing With the Anchors 2019 Breaks All Previous Records!

On Saturday, April 13th, more than 240 guests enjoyed one of the most fun and anticipated dance events in Denver…DANCING WITH THE ANCHORS! Denver’s finest news anchors teamed up with Arthur Murray professionals to showcase their moves in a spirited ballroom dance competition to benefit Anchor Center for Blind Children. The competition featured: CBS4’s Dave Aguilera, FOX31’s Sam Boik and Chris Parente, 9News’ Danielle Grant and Steve Staeger, and 7News’ Lisa Hidalgo and Eric Lupher.

The event included a three-course plated dinner, a full program of professional dancing, including the competition, and a social hour with open dancing for all guests.

Guests – and anyone interested in supporting Anchor Center and their favorite dance team – voted in advance and at the event with their dollars to determine the winning team. The team that raised the most money won the competition! This year’s winner – and returning champ – was Danielle Grant, who performed the Hustle and raised the most money for Anchor Center. All of the teams gave spectacular performances, and Chris Parente walked away with the “Most Entertaining” award.

This year’s event broke all records compared to previous Dancing With the Anchors events. More than 520 people voted with their dollars and, overall, more than $70,000 was raised for Anchor Center for Blind Children!
