Our Preschool Program prepares children 3 to 5 years old for life in school and the community.
Our Preschool Program helps children achieve self-confidence, gain independence, and develop their social skills in preparation for kindergarten. Anchor Center understands this transition is important.
Built on a foundation of vision services, our small classrooms of 5 to 7 children work on an Children are independent of their families or caregiver during program and attend twice a week. This allows them to experience self-sufficient learning for a few short hours each day

Anchor Center for Blind Children is a private, non-profit organization funded almost in full by donations and grants. In fact, less than 4% of Anchor Center’s funding is from government sources. Although we wish we could offer all of our services at no cost to our families, tuition is necessary to help cover the cost of our professionally-staffed programs and services. To help cover the cost of our services, Anchor Center does charge a highly subsidized tuition fee for our Preschool Program.
Discounts do apply if paid in full. Tuition helps meet program expenses throughout the year to ensure our services remain at the highest level of expertise and quality for your child.
However, we never want this to be a deterrent to families receiving services; therefore, we offer a range of discounted rates to families thanks to the generosity of our loyal donors.

Living six thousand miles away from Anchor Center in Mongolia, her dad Ken started looking for answers.
Ken sent his daughter’s information to the best specialists worldwide. They all turned her away.
When Sundka was 2 years old, Ken left his job and moved their family to the United States. A teacher in San Francisco referred them to schools nationwide. Ultimately, they chose Denver and Anchor Center.

At first, Sundka was frustrated by the language barrier and an unknown place. She would hardly speak. Now, her teachers know her as a girl filled with laughter. She enjoys literacy and is confident in using her cane.
