Respite care is relief from caregiving duties when you’re looking after a loved one who requires frequent, monitored care.
Anchor Center supports families through continued opportunities for respite, allowing caregivers to feel confident that their Anchor Center child (and siblings) are well cared for in a nurturing, loving, safe, monitored environment.
Respite care is incredibly important for our families and offers them rest and rejuvenation, helps alleviate some of the stress that comes with caregiving, can improve or replenish patience, and restore energy…among so many other benefits.
BUT, WE CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS!!
Volunteering for Anchor Center's respite program has been so rewarding! I get to interact one-on-one with Anchor children, alumni and siblings...knowing that their families are able to breathe easy and get the rest that they deserve and need.
