On Friday, May 12, former First Ladies of Colorado Frances Owens, Bea Romer and Dottie Lamm joined Robin Hickenlooper at the Boettcher Mansion to host a Mother’s Day Tea for the incredible mothers of our 2017 preschool graduates.
Eight of the preschool graduates and their mothers were greeted by the First Ladies and several distinguished supporters of Anchor Center. A full tea was served, followed by introductions and special tribute to the Anchor Center mothers. The day finished with a rare, private tour of the Mansion for the mothers.
The Anchor Center children enjoyed the event as well. They were free to play and enjoy the Mansion with their teachers in attendance to help. They had been eagerly anticipating the special occasion, learning about tea parties and practicing in class in the weeks preceding the event.
Frances Owens, who joined Anchor Center in 2016 as Community Relations Manager, was integral in gathering the First Ladies for this special event. Our sincerest thank you to Mrs. Owens and all of the First Ladies for making this such a beautiful mother’s day for all in attendance.
