This year Anchor Center for Blind Children’s annual gala will be virtual! I invite you to join me from the comfort of your home as we raise awareness and funds in support of my favorite non-profit. In addition to the one-hour on-line gala, I will be hosting a pre-party via Zoom.

Anchors Away (literally away, not aweigh!) Pre-Party

What to expect – I’ll provide a virtual introduction to Anchor Center for those who haven’t had a chance to visit, then we’ll have some Anchor trivia – a little friendly competition in teams and get to know others at the party through some breakout group discussions. Got a favorite Anchor story – brush it off to share. Got a favorite Anchor picture – please send it to me in advance at sherrys718@gmail.com. As time permits, we’ll preview some of our favorite auction items and find out who is bidding on what.

Attire – wear your favorite nautical themed attire – hats encouraged – let’s see those anchors and waves! Got a sailor hat?

Preparation:

Register for both the pre-party and the Anchor Center for Blind Children Gala
Plan your pre-party menu…. here are a few ideas:
- Cocktails / Mocktails
  - Pina Colada
  - Sangria
  - Mixed Berry Iced Tea
  - Something fizzy, beer or other ‘boat drink’ of your choice

Appetizers
- Sailing Shrimp, Crab Buoys or Flag Triangles
Dinner
Make this easy and support your local restaurants – order dinner for delivery or pick up before 5:00 pm MT

3. If you haven’t already in this age of COVID-19, download the Zoom app to your mobile device or the Zoom desktop client to your computer (no account is necessary). Note Zoom web client will not work for this meeting. If you are new to Zoom and would like to practice using it in advance of the date, just let me know.
