Anchor Center Hosts 14th Annual Visions of Love Event

Friday, February 2nd marked Anchor Center for Blind Children’s signature Valentine’s event, Visions of Love, held at our state-of-the-art learning facility in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver. This year also marked the 14th anniversary of this time-honored event partnering Colorado wineries, local breweries, whiskey tastings and delectable chocolate pairings. It was a wonderful night as we were able to share the magic of Anchor Center’s building and mission!
Over 200 guests and supporters raised $40,000 (gross) for Anchor Center. Hosted by Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter of Denver, Visions of Love guests enjoyed tastings from wineries including: Blanchard Family Wines, Centennial Cellars, Carlson Vineyards, Chill Switch, Mafia Princess, Meridian Prime (South African Wines), M. Chapoutier and our delicious chocolate was provided by The Chocolate Therapist.
Our VIP Experience this year offered sensory cocktails, beer tastings from 4 Noses Brewing Company and Bruz Beers, and for the 2nd year in a row we held very popular whiskey tastings generously provided by Mile High Spirits!
This years prize drawing offered a Supercar Driving Experience and our winner, Mark Pirozzi, will be able to enjoy driving 7 exotic supercars valued from $200k – $300k on a 105 mile tour through Golden Gate Canyon to Peak to Peak Hwy, Long’s Peak to Hwy 7 into Lyons and through Boulder.
Guests also enjoyed exploring Anchor Center’s award-winning teaching center, where staff acted as building docents providing tours, demonstrated how to use a brailling machine and educating guests on the remarkable mission of Anchor Center.
