Dr. Cathy Smyth Presents

Anchor’s Director of Research, Dr. Cathy Smyth recently presented on Anchor Center’s NAVEG newborn screening research for the  Newborn Screening Translational Research Network (NBSTRN) National Pilot Webinar series. 

The NBSTRN hosts a monthly webinar via zoom to facilitate information sharing between state newborn screening programs, researchers, clinicians, advocates and federal partners about conditions recently added to the Recommended Uniform Screening Panel (RUSP) or conditions currently part of pilots.

Anchor Center’s research team is the first in the U.S. to be approved to provide NAVEG screenings in hospitals for babies under 9 months – a process we consider crucial to ensuring children with CVI receive treatment as early as possible. Click here to learn more!
