Friday, February 8, 2019 marked the 9th anniversary for Anchor Center for Blind Children’s signature Valentine’s event, Visions of Love, held at their state-of-the-art learning facility in the Stapleton neighborhood of Denver. Hosted by Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter of Denver, nearly 250 guests sampled unforgettable domestic and international wine selections paired with artisanal cheeses from Mondo Market, and decadent chocolates from The Chocolate Therapist. Guests enjoyed decadent samplings while exploring Anchor Center’s award-winning teaching center, where staff acted as building docents providing tours and educating guests on the remarkable mission of Anchor Center.

Avery Brewing Company proudly sponsored the VIP ticket holder tastings of 3 of their acclaimed gold foil craft beer. Asbury Provisions sponsored the event’s first-ever Sensory Cocktail Lounge, with three handcrafted cocktails – herbal, fruity, aromatic – for guests to use their senses of smell, touch and taste.  The lounge also included tastings from Tingala – handcrafted in Denver and the first spirit of its kind in the U.S., Tingala is a liqueur made from flowers with a natural tingling taste.

Event sponsors included Stapleton Master Community Association, Children’s Eye Physicians, Plante Moran, Maria and Lee Kunz, Playtime, Affinity Dental Arts, Confluence Companies, and Janus Henderson Investors. With the support of key sponsors, guests and supporters, Anchor Center raised nearly $33,000 for their programs.
